1.0 contains 14.4 g of total dietary fibre/L and Jevity 1.2 meets the RDI of fibres with 18 g/l, of which 10 g of a soluble and insoluble fibre mix and 8 g of NutraFlora® scFOS®. scFOS® alone count for 8 g/L.  Fibres are essential to support bowel function and ease digestion. scFOS are prebiotics triggering the development of good bacteria in the colon.

Twocal is not available in Singapore, only Jevity is available in Singapore.

Both Jevity and TwoCal is used as a food supplement or as a unique food source. It can be taken both orally and by tube-feeding. And it is suitable in case of gluten or lactose intolerance. This nutrition is unflavoured as well. It is complete in terms of vitamin and mineral needs.

Both are both ready to drink.

TwoCal has a double quantity of calories per milliliter. This allows the product to help patients gain and maintain weight faster. TwoCal has a higher protein portion (8.4g/100ml versus 10.4g/237ml for 1.0), which makes it adapted especially for people with high protein needs. It makes it a low-fibre nutrition. TwoCal is hypertonic with an Osmolarity of 560 mOsm/L, which is not necessarily suitable for all users.

The main difference is that Ensure Plus is designed for patients who have malnutrition, are at nutritional risk, or are experiencing involuntary weight loss, to help gain or maintain a healthy weight. Ensure Plus has more nutrients in less volume.

Ensure Plus has 1.5 Cal/ml (versus 1Cal/ml for 1.0). It has also more fat (4.92g/100ml versus 3.46g/100ml for version 1.0).2g/100ml of carbs (versus 13.97g/100ml for version 1.0). The main difference is that Glucerna 1.0Cal is designed particularly for people with high blood glucose and people with declared diabetes. Glucerna 1.0 is a reduced-carbohydrate (22.8g/237ml versus 33.1g/237ml for Jevity 1.0) which gives better glycaemic control.

Both are nutritionally complete and balanced formulas used as a food supplement or as a unique food source. It can be taken both orally and by tube-feeding. Both products are suitable for lactose intolerance. They are both ready to use.

Differences

The main difference is that Nutren Diabetes Liquid is designed particularly for people with high blood glucose and people with declared diabetes. Nutren has 10kcal lower per serving. It is slightly higher in fat (10.4g/237ml versus 8.2g/237ml for Jevity 1.0) but has a lower portion of carbohydrates (23.2g/237ml versus 33.1g/237ml in version 1.0Cal) and a low glycaemic index of 26 which gives it the property of better glycaemic control.

It is about 20% higher in fibres (4.5g/237ml versus 3.4g/237ml in Jevity 1.0Cal). The two products have similar amounts of protein, but Nutren Diabetes Liquid contains 50% high-quality whey protein considered better for the transit.

Nutren Diabetes Liquid has enough of 31 minerals and vitamins to meet the body needs compared to 24 for Jevity, which is also suitable for gluten intolerance. Nutren Liquid Diabetes is suitable for sucrose and fructose intolerance.
